Timelock

The Timelock tool is ideal for assembling a playlist and let it play by the touch of a button or automatically at a previously set time. This makes Timelock ideal for playing commercialblocks fully automatic, without interference of the DJ or engineer, thus reducing the chance of mistakes.
You can schedule Timelock playlists days, weeks or even months ahead. Set the time you wish the playlist to start or end and save the playlist to disk. With the 'auto-load' function on, JingleBox automatically searches the playlist and activates the automation a few minutes before the playlist is due to start. Clearly visible countdown clocks notify the studio crew of the upcoming Timelock playlist. JingleBox will play the playlist and then immediately start looking for the next playlist. In the meantime, all the other functions of JingleBox (i.e. the jingleplayers) are available.
The Timelock tool makes scheduling commercialblocks and assuring they are played at the right time a piece of cake.
As a special service for the studio crew, the Timelock playlists can be printed, so they know when they can expect a commercialbreak way up front.
Date/Time set
You can set the date and the time at which the Timelock playlist should start or end.
Use as start / Use as end
Select 'Use as start' if you want the time you set to be the starttime of the playlist.
Select 'Use as end' if you want the time you set to be the endtime of the playlist. JingleBox will automatically re-calculate the starttime so that the playlist ends at the time you set.
Offset
Very slow systems might need more time to start an item in the Timelock playlist. To compensate this, you can add a slight 'Offset' to the Timelock playlist.
Overlap
The items in the Timelock playlist can overlap while playing. You can set the overlap time in milliseconds. Note that JingleBox cannot overlap two audiofiles on the same audiocard. Therefor Timelock will use the audiocards assigned to Player 1 and Player 2 to playback the Timelock playlist.
Auto-load
With auto-load enabled, JingleBox will continuously search for Timelock playlists. Once a Timelock playlist is found that is scheduled to play after two minutes, JingleBox will automatically load that Timelock playlist and enable the Timelock automation. This produces a fully automatic playback of Timelock playlists. Note that only Timelock playlists that were saved using the 'auto-name' function can be found with the auto-load function.
Auto-name
With auto-name enabled, JingleBox automatically generates a filename when you save a Timelock playlist. This generated filename consists of the startdate and starttime of the playlist. When Timelock playlists are saved using the auto-name function, the playlists can be loaded automatically with the auto-load function.
Play Now
The 'Play Now'-button plays the current Timelock playlist immediately, regardless of the set starttime.
Automate
The 'Automate'-button enables te Timelock automation. When the Timelock automation is on, JingleBox will automatically start the Timelock playlist at the right time. |
